Drudge is reporting that photos are surfacing of students at Penn State dressed up as Virgina Tech victims from the murder rampage earlier this year.
Here is an in-depth video report from a local NBC affiliate.
Incorrect University does not support or endorse this display, however we feel compelled to make the following observations/comments:
1) This is a completely offensive and cavalier demonstration of irreverence.
2) This might be a coping mechanism to deal with the all too real threat that contemporary students face, in that one of your fellow students might just pull out a weapon and storm the campus killing as many people as possible. Again, we are not making a judgement as to the quality of this coping mechanism, just that it might be at work here.

3) This is 100% politically incorrect and will earn them a spot in the IU hall of fame if we ever build one.
4) This is 100% constitutionally protected.

Hey,
I’m glad you’re covering this, but please issue an immediate correction to this piece.

1.The first photo you’ve published is NOT a photo of Penn State students. See the link provided above.
2. Our school is not referenced as “Penn” — that’s what the University of Pennsylvania in Philly is called (alternatively “UPenn”). Penn State is “PSU” or “State”
