According to the Columbia Spectator, there was a small gathering of protesters on campus this morning:
Clad in orange and chanting against racism, a small crowd gathered on Low Plaza this morning to protest the appearance of David Horowitz, CC ’59, in a rally organized by several student groups.
And just like in Atlanta at Emory, many of the protesters were non-students/faculty
While the rally included some graduate and undergraduate students, the crowd consisted largely of local residents and activists from The World Can’t Wait, a nonprofit organization aimed at driving out the Bush administration.
UPDATE: Talking Point Memo and Brave New Films have posted this sound bite from David Horowitz at Columbia.

Why are these outsiders allowed in the room if they are not students or work in some capacity for the college. I mean all of the colleges and Universities. As a parent I am really angry with the people running these facilities for letting this happen. Maybe I should have a little protest of my own with the people running these institutions. I am paying them good money for not protecting my kids. Come on parents get your ass down to the deans office and pull them right over their desk on the floor and see how they like outside interferance. These protesters could harm one of the kids and then just disappear back to the slum they came from and then what will the college do about it? o-yea nothing. Just pay your tuition and shutup.
