I think it is appropriate.

My name is Harrison Sonntag and I am organizing the vents for Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week at Dartmouth. I am running into a lot of opposition from many sides and even our Dartmouth Chapter of the College Republicans is refusing to sponsor Robert Spencer coming to speak here at Dartmouth on Friday. The culture of political correctness is very deeply entrenched here, and we are expecting a lot of protests at the event. Thank you so much for providing this site, and I promise I will not be intimidated, and I am determined to make IFAW a success. I will update on any recent events, including on an article which will be in our school newspaper on Friday about IFAW.

A quick suggestion- It’s the University of Pennsylvania, not “U-PENN”. No one at Penn calls it “U-PENN”, that’s just the url of their Web site. Just like you have University of Washington and University of Rhode Island…it should be University of Pennsylvania.

I tried to get to the Brown U. talk by Robert Spencer tonight. I always seem to get lost driving to Providence, RI. Will the video be posted on IncorrectU.com?

CTyankee, come to Dartmouth tonight (Friday). It’s not that much further a drive from CT as Providence is!

Article in the Dartmouth newspaper about IFAW: http://thedartmouth.com/2007/10/25/news/posters/
My reactions:
#1) It could have been worse, but it is still below my expectations, especially in terms of the blatant errors such as the “Daniel Horowitz Freedom Center.” I expect more out of my fellow students here at Dartmouth.
#2) I feel that my most relevant and powerful quotes were not used intentionally.
#3) I am disgusted with the statements of all those interviewed other than myself, especially in terms of terms of the effort to portray the posters as hurtful to students “who broke down crying” (grow up and face reality for Christ’s sake).
#4) I am not surprised.

Mr. Sonntag,
I had other plans for Friday night, so I was not able to drive to Hannover, NH. I read on Jihadwatch that the Dartmouth speech ended on a high note. It’s great to hear that Spencer and colleagues were allowed to speak their opinion without being shouted down!
Today, I will be in Boston to celebrate my birthday. I expect to see protesters at Old South Church (Copley Square) today. Please read about it at http://ucctruths.blogspot.com/
First read their article: “Major protest planned tomorrow at Old South Church”

Last night at Dartmouth was an astounding success! Mr. Spencer humbly fails to mention that he RECEIVED A STANDING OVATION!!!!! It was such a great success! I hope we hear more about what a wonderful event it was and stark contrast to the disgusting efforts of many students around the country to silence the voices of the IFAW speakers. I could not be prouder to be a member of the Dartmouth community today!

For the past three decades, Sabeel has billed itself as the voice of the beleaguered community of Palestinian Christians in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Israel. Over the years, *Sabeel* has been successful in convincing well-meaning, but largely ignorant Christians in the United States and Europe that the Palestinian people are innocent sufferers and the Israeli government their brutal oppressors.
